Our Mission

Ayurveda Retreats done the right way in Spain

Personalized and diagnosis-led residential recovery programs and Panchakarma. Never a menu of fixed treatment packages — always decided by a real Vaidya (Ayurvedic Doctor) before any dates, any single treatment, or any cleansing method is chosen.

Why this matters

Ayurveda is a precise and complex knowledge, not a wellness aesthetic. A solid authority must guide and supervise any Ayurvedic detox journey.

The luxury in Ayurveda is the right knowledge, at the right timing, from the right guidance.

Resident Kerala Vaidyas

Every program is led, diagnosed, and personally overseen by resident Vaidya Carolin and Vaidya Kiranlal VS. Not a rotating roster.

Diagnosis decides

Your treatment plan is confirmed after a full Ayurvedic health consultation, based on your actual condition — never a themed menu you picked in advance online.

Five rooms, not a hundred

A small and quiet hotel on the Asturian coast. Not a scheduled slot inside a resort.

How Diagnosis Decides Your Panchakarma

Your treatment plan is charted from your first consultation, on arrival. Your package guarantees the number and duration of treatments you've paid for — what changes, based on your Vaidya's diagnosis, is which treatments you receive and how they're adapted to you. They'll also advise on the food and herbal teas served during your stay.

What Your Retreat Includes

All Included: Six Components, One Experience

Consultations With the Vaidya

Your retreat is charted from your Vaidya's diagnosis on arrival. This happens at a 60-minute Ayurvedic Health Consultation: a holistic interview with you to listen, understand and go deep into your current health conditions and history, diet and lifestyle routines, digestive health, sleep patterns, energy levels, body waste elimination and much more.

In all our programs, the Vaidya will also assess your evolution by the end of the stay and you will receive a take-home plan with personalized recommendations. During Panchakarma, daily follow ups are also included in order to supervise your journey and make the necessary adjustments to your specific needs.

Ayurvedic Food

Ayurveda advises specific food to improve health that is suited to your body type, your current imbalances and seasonal circumstances.

In our programs, all meals will be completely vegetarian, cooked with the necessary spices to classical Ayurvedic recipes, by cooks with years of experience. You will receive full board freshly home-made menus (3 meals per day), plus herbal Ayurvedic teas.

Body Therapies

Using either cooked sesame oil infused with herbs, dried herbal powders or other ayurvedic formulas and liquids — every component is customized by the Vaidya to your precise needs and executed by trained and experienced ayurvedic therapists, per the Vaidya's instructions.

Treatments are advised daily for a minimum of 7 days for full effect, which is why both programs here run at least that length.

Yoga, Breathing & Meditation

Daily sessions to move, ground and connect with the body and mind in a conscious day. The sessions are beginner-friendly and all the equipment is provided — even if you've never done yoga before, our instructor will make sure you enjoy the experience.

Ayurvedic Workshops

In the afternoons, there will be time to relax and learn about Ayurveda through practical sessions with valuable knowledge to take home with you about ayurvedic cooking and lifestyle.

Ayurveda is a lifestyle that holds that "food is medicine," and in these workshops with our experienced cooks and Vaidya, you will be introduced to healthy daily routines and practices, ayurvedic cooking methods and the use of spices.

The Stay

Understanding Personalization

Panchakarma — Personalized Cleansing Therapy

Ayurveda is a classical medical system originated in India, and in continuous and successful practice for more than 5,000 years, which uses herbal medicine, body therapy, diet and lifestyle guidance, cleansing therapy (Panchakarma) and much more tools to ensure wellbeing and vitality.

Panchakarma's hallmark is personalization: two individuals with the same apparent imbalance may still need different treatment to correct it — which is why every program here starts with a diagnosis, not a checklist.

Classical Ayurvedic texts

Five Actions in Three Stages

Panchakarma is not a spa treatment, but a supervised detoxification process, done in three stages. This way Panchakarma goes minimum from 15 to 21 days, or more.

1

Preparation (Poorvakarma)

Getting the body ready for the cleanse is essential. Internal oleation, oil and sweating therapies, and herbal preparations loosen deep-seated toxins.

2

Elimination (Pradhanakarma)

The 5 cleanses are Vamana (therapeutic emesis), Virechana (therapeutic purgation), Basti (enema), Nasya (nasal cleanse), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting) — only medically prescribed according to your health circumstances.

3

Rejuvenation (Paschatkarma)

Last, but not least, the recovery. Herbs, diet, and rest rebuild strength and stabilize the results.

Why Asturias — Spain's Natural Paradise

Not Mallorca, Not Kerala, Not Germany

The same Kerala tradition led by Kerala doctors, but without the travel burden and the long-haul flight to India.

Still in Spain, a trusted holiday destination, but away from the Mediterranean heat, the overwhelming island tourism and the beach crowds.

Choose Asturias: cooler air, green hills, mild heat, impressive coastline and mountains, unexplored spanish town culture and a safe environment in a quiet river estuary.

Climate & Nature

Asturias is officially branded "Paraíso Natural" (Natural Paradise) — green hills, the Picos de Europa mountains nearby, and a noticeably cooler and milder weather than the rest of Spain. Better conditions for rest and recovery than a hot beach resort.

Heritage & Culture

Home to Oviedo's UNESCO-listed pre-Romanesque architecture and the lively city of Gijon, the historic Camino de Santiago pilgrim route running through the region, and the charming fishing village of Cudillero close by.

Slower, Less Touristy

Asturias sees a fraction of the mass tourism of Mallorca, The Canarian Islands, The Costa Brava, Costa del Sol or Costa Blanca in the Mediterranean Coast — a quieter, more authentic setting matched to what a real recovery program needs.

Where You'll Stay

A quiet former coal port turned into a peaceful river village on the Nalón estuary — local gastronomy, fishing boats, seafront promenades, and a walk to wild beaches and impressive coastal cliffs. Close by to the town of Muros de Nalón, part of the Camino de Santiago.
